CWBY was born from two things that have always been a part of our founder, Austin Michael’s life: being CWBY and being creative.

Growing up on a ranch, Austin spent his days ropin’, ridin’, and learning firsthand what it means to live the cowboy lifestyle. But somewhere along the way, God gave him another calling — music. What started as a passion grew into a dream of becoming a country artist and sharing his story through songs.

CWBY is an extension of that same God-given creativity. Austin started the brand to create the kind of clothes and designs that he genuinely likes — the kind of stuff he’d actually wear himself. Nothing forced, nothing fake. Just good ol’ cowboy style with a modern edge.

But CWBY is about more than clothes. It’s about keeping the music alive. Being an independent artist means every song, recording, music video, and opportunity comes with a price. Austin created CWBY as another way to fund the music he loves and continue building his career independently.
